Welcome to All Saints Catholic School

Welcome to the All Saints Catholic School website, which is full of information about our school’s wonderful learning environment.

From the moment you step into our school, you quickly feel the excitement our children have for learning, and see our dedication to faith filled, self- disciplined , life-long learners.  We strive to recognize the gifts and strengths of all of our students-preschool through 8th grade.  We are so blessed by teachers and staff who give so much, and with families who share their time, talents, and treasures within our learning community.

We provide a Catholic education to all students meeting them where they are and moving them ahead.  We recognize that we are all children of God showing responsibility and respect in every area of our lives.

We are a Catholic School but we accept students of all faiths.  We are a very diverse school and we celebrate that!  Our students learn to relate to and appreciate people of various cultures.

Thank you for your interest in making All Saints Catholic School a partner in helping to prepare your child academically, spiritually, and socially.

Blessings to all of you,

Jeanne Von Feldt
All Saints Catholic School Principal

What's Happening

April 5, 2020

Dear Parents,

Today is Palm Sunday which marks Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem.  It is also the beginning of Holy Week.  Please check your Parish websites for dates and times for their Holy Week Services.

Your child's teachers will be sending out directions for your student's work tomorrow, Monday, April 6, by 9:00am.  We know that you are receiving so many emails so we are really going to improve on that.  Our Special Teachers will not be sending out any of their emails until Wednesday of this week so hopefully this will help you with this problem.

Again, our school will be open for you to pick up your child's work if needed from 7:00am-10:00am.  The back gym doors will be open during these hours. Please let your child's teacher know if you are able to print the work or directions at home as then this pick up process is not necessary.

Our next  Zoom Teacher Meeting will be tomorrow and every Monday morning.  Now that we know that our school will be closed through April 30, we definitely will be discussing and planning for optional and required educational opportunities for your child.

Besides saying we miss your students I have heard many teachers use the word love.  Our teachers feel a love for students that's hard for other people to imagine.  Your children every year become our family and we love them fiercely.

Please communicate any questions or concerns you have to your child's teachers as they so want to help you and your child.  Please don't forget to call me at our school phone at 563-324-3205 and then it will go to my cell phone if you have concerns that I need to address.  I promise that I will get back to you.

Behind Every Young
Child who Believes in
Himself is a Parent
Who Believed First.

Please try to stay healthy and safe.
God Bless You.

All Saints Catholic School

April 2, 2020

Dear All Saints Families,

It is April 2 and it is nice to see sunshine!  You continue to be in my daily prayers and I hope that everyone is staying healthy and staying home if possible.

Our two weeks of distance learning of either on line or educational packets seems to be working as good as can be expected.  My suggestion if possible is to keep a schedule.  It will help make things easier for all if this is possible.  I know that many of you are sharing one computer with yourself and your children.

We are trying for progress, not perfection for future days to come.  I have always said that All Saints Teachers are FANTASTIC.  They are trying to prepare meaningful lessons for their students, just as you are trying to schedule your child’s days and also juggle all of your responsibilities that you have at home. Everyone is trying so hard and I am so very proud of All Saints Catholic School!

It’s important that your child participates in the classes/assignments as best they can.  We are taking a flexible approach to all of this.  As of now the students will NOT be formally graded.  We are looking for many different kinds of assessments.  Some of these might include:

1.      Students can answer prompts in virtual settings such as google classroom, zoom, etc.

2.     Students can submit photos of completed work or videos.

3.     Track student participation in live lessons

4.     Work completion and submission of assignments

5.     Parent communication (emails, phone calls, google classroom)

6.     Student reflection or picture

We will find out from the Governor’s office soon if our schools are closed through April 30, 2020.  I am praying along with our entire faculty and staff if that is the case that we can get back to school for the month of May.  Please pray with us.

Please check your parish websites for virtual Holy Week Services and Mass schedules.

Please contact me with any concerns or needs that you might have during this difficult time at 563-324-3205.  This is our school’s number but it will ring on my cell phone and I will get back to you.

Thank you for your continued commitment for All Saints Catholic School. Please continue to pray for all families impacted by COVID-19.  Please pray for all of our front line workers.

Please be safe, stay home, wash your hands and may Jesus, the Divine Doctor, preserve us from all illness and harm.

Pray, Hope, and God Bless You,

Jeanne Von Feldt

Principal of All Saints Catholic School
